Meet NCMA Denver's 2021/22 Chapter President, Andrea Mueller!
By Andrea Mueller - August 6, 2021
Hello Denver! I am excited to serve as the President of the NCMA Denver Chapter for the 2021-2022 Program Year. With the help of the Board of Directors and the Board of Advisors, along with input from YOU. Together, we have the opportunity to turn obstacles into opportunities. We are on the forefront of defining what normal looks like after the upheaval of life as we formerly knew it last year. We are going to leverage the momentum from World Congress, and keep it going!
This year we will be seeking input from each of you through various methods to get a temperature for level of comfort in environment for events, as well as looking for your input on what you would like to get out of your membership this program year. We will continue to check-in and do a “pulse check†throughout the program year. We recognize and are looking forward to continuing to hone in on our agility as a local chapter to pivot with the ebb and flow of the environment.  We will be implementing a hybrid structure to start the year off; however, we are prepared to adjust as needed, taking any necessary safety precautions. We will be focusing on both in-person and virtual networking and training events, taking full advantage of the removal of geographical barriers, and the opportunities that have opened themselves up to us.
The Denver Chapter strives to bring our members and non-members meaningful experiences throughout the program year for professional and leadership development, education and training, and professional and social networking to advance your career in contract management. Information regarding these opportunities will be posted to our website, as well as our various social media accounts. Stay tuned!
I am originally from Denver, Iowa (the mile-wide city!); however, I’ve lived a mostly nomadic adult life, until finding myself here in Denver six years ago. With over eight years of diverse contract management experience within the technology, healthcare, financial; and state, local, federal, and tribal arenas, I have been afforded unique opportunities and perspectives within Contract Management. I have served on the NCMA Denver Board of Directors as the Events Chair beginning in 2018 for two years before stepping into the President-Elect role.
I am a graduate of NCMA’s Contract Management Leadership Development Program (CMLDP) class of 2021, finishing the program with the designation of Distinguished Graduate. Outside of my professional life, my daughter and I are avid explorers of the outdoors, no matter the season! Though I’m not a Colorado native, we’ve found our home here. I am looking forward to connecting with many of you personally or virtually - please reach out to me through info@ncmadenver.org or attend one of our upcoming events!
