Executive Orders and Federal Funding: Separating the News from the Noise Discussion

Please join Holland & Knight and the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) Denver and Huntsville, Alabama, chapters for an in-depth discussion of how recent Trump Administration actions impact federal contractors and grant recipients.
Recent executive orders have dramatically changed funding and compliance rules for federal contracts and grants. This presentation will summarize relevant executive orders, changing requirements under federal contracts and grants, legal rights and remedies for contractors and grant recipients, and what new policies and actions might be on the horizon.
Attendees will gain practical insights to help navigate the evolving landscape of federal funding, including the following learning objectives:
  • New executive orders, their legal implications and current court challenges
  • Impact to federal contractors and grant recipients, including requirements related to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), funding reduction, hiring freezes and trade policy
  • Legal bases for executive actions and legal rights under federal contracts and grants
  • Practical advice on responses to funding pauses, stop-work orders and termination notices
  • Insight from former elected and appointed government officials on the current status of implementation and expected next steps in policy and enforcement actions
