Job Description

ADA is seeking an experienced professional to fill the Company’s Contract Manager role as part of our fast-moving Corporate team.  This position is a working member of the corporate team by leading contract and subcontract development and execution, proposal activity directly as the business needs require, and human resource programs. This position requires someone who has strong multitasking skills and the ability to effectively manage all government contractual requirements, commercial contractual requirements, and human resource compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the placement and management of contracts and subcontracts in support of ADA’s various research and development programs. Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations. Procuring a variety of items from contract labor services to university support services, and construction projects. As a result, familiarity with these types of efforts is a must and an understanding of various types of contract type is critical.

  • In depth knowledge of the FAR, DFARS, NASA FAR Supplement, and the Small Business Innovation Research Program.

  • Lead negotiations, establish teaming agreements, facilitate invoice payments, and take complete responsibility and ownership of the procurement process.

  • Responsible for the placement and management of Non-Disclosure Agreements as the business requires.

  • Lead the Human Resource Program for the company, including On-Boarding, Employment and Confidentiality Agreements, compliance, and development of employee training programs.

  • Responsible for ADA’s export control technical program, compliance, and implementation of internal policies and procedures. Familiarity with the EAR and ITAR is a must.

  • Interface with DCMA as it relates to contract compliance requirements and government property.

 

Qualifications

  • Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training.  Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of professional contracts management experience desired.

  • The candidate must be knowledgeable and comfortable with providing guidance to Senior Management on Contract & Subcontract policy and procedures to include teaming agreements, selection of contract or subcontract type(s) and developing contract or subcontract specifications, work statements and make value-added contributions to the business by contributing knowledge of various aspects of the Supply Chain, Contract Management, and Subcontract Management.

  • Qualified candidate must be able to timely review and evaluate customer requests for contract provisions and provide risk assessments, offer alternative approaches to mitigate risks, including alternative contractual language.

  • Investigate and reconcile significant contract or subcontract changes involving specifications and schedules.

  • Candidate will work in conjunction with associated functional program areas and customers to ensure conformance with contractual obligations, to remain cognizant of problem areas, and to implement the required corrective actions.

  • The candidate must be knowledgeable and comfortable in working with human resource law, compliance, and employment agreements.

  • You will need to be a US Citizen to support government contracts, as well as successfully pass a background check in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to CUI information.
